Vanco, the leading global Virtual Network Operator (VNO), announced Thursday it will open an office in Hong Kong in the next two months because of its rapid expansion in the region.
Allen Timpany, Vanco CEO, said on the sidelines of ITU (International Telecom Union) Telecom World 2006 that Vanco has reached an milestone of 100 percent growth in the Asia-Pacific region in the last 12 months.
During the period, Vanco has doubled the number of sites under management in the region to 2300, Timpany said, adding that the company opened new offices in Shanghai, China and New Delhi, Indiath is year in addition to its existing regional hubs in Singapore and Sydney of Australia.
"Our tremendous growth in the Asian region demonstrates the strength of the VNO approach anywhere in the world. More and more multinational organizations are looking to open offices, factories or facilities in the region. They need a reliable partner to network these sites and so harness the benefits of operating in a truly global fashion," Pimpany said.
"What's more, we are winning significant pieces of business from Asian companies with networking requirements both in Asia and around the world," he added.
