Taiwan committee eases China chip ban: reports

A Taiwan government committee on Monday gave the green light to the island's top two memory chip makers, Powerchip (5346.TWO: Quote, Profile , Research) and ProMOS (5387.TWO: Quote, Profile , Research), to set up plants in China, local media reported.
