China's central bank announces schedule for 2007 statistics releases

BEIJING, Dec. 29 -- People's Bank of China (PB0C), the country's central bank, published a timetable Thursday for the release of key financial statistics in 2007.

The indices of macro-economic control, including money supply and the balance sheets of financial institutions in both RMB and foreign currencies, are to be released in the second half of each month, while statistics on gold reserves, foreign exchange reserves, and foreign exchange rates will be available during the last 15 days of each quarter.

The statistics will be available on the central bank's official website, the Financial News, as well as the central bank's quarterly and annual reports.
