CEBU, Philippines, Jan. 14  -- The meeting between Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe started on Sunday in Cebu, the second largest city of the Philippines. The two leaders exchanged views on bilateral ties as well as international and regional issues of common concern.

The meeting took place on the sidelines of the Seventh Trilateral Leaders' Meeting of China, Japan and South Korea, as well as the 10th Summit of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Plus China, Japan and South Korea (or 10+3).

It was also the second meeting between the two leaders in four months. They held talks in Beijing in October 2006 when Abe paid an official visit to China after taking office as prime minister.
