SHANGHAI, East China, Jan. 12 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Super League soccer club Shenhua SVA has agreed on a loan move of defender Sun Xiang to Dutch powerhouse PSV Eindhoven.

"Both sides have reached an agreement on Sun Xiang's transfer," Shenhua said in a statement on its website.

PSV made a 150,000-euro offer for the 25-year-old Chinese international for a five-month loan with an option for a full transfer.

Shenhua had initially turned downed PSV's bid but softened its stance late last night after Sun's plea, carried across major newspapers, shifted public opinion in his favor.

Sun made his mark with Shenhua since making his debut with them in 2002.
