Taiwan theater director Stan Lai's "The Peach Blossom Land" will be staged in Shenzhen.

Starring the mainland's Huang Lei, Yuan Quan, He Jiong and Xie Na, "The Peach Blossom Land" is a juxtaposition of modern and ancient times, tragedy and comedy.

There have been four theatrical productions of the show since 1986, and a film by the same name released in 1992, starring Brigitte Lin, Chin Shih-chieh and Lee Li-chun.

The film won numerous international awards including the Golden Bear at the Berlin International Film Festival and Sakura Silver Award at the Tokyo International Film Festival.
