Yesterday afternoon, the Ourgame Corporation ( hereinafter abbreviated to "Ourgame"), a famous comprehensive network entertainment service provider focusing on network games, announced that it has established partnership with several large corporations, such as Coca-Cola, TOM, Sohu, Jinshan, the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, Microsoft and Zcom. In addition, it is expected to spread large graphical network games in 2007.
As for the cooperative model and details, the CEO of "Ourgame" Wu Guoliang refused to disclose. However, Wu said, "Although such alliance with other corporations will directly cause lower profit rate, only in such manner can we confront with Tencent."
"Right now, Tencent is the only enemy for all the China's internet corporations", said Wu Guoliang, adding that Tencent is a threat to all the corporations, as it has gained the largest amount of Chinese internet users. He continued that "Ourgame" has been dedicating itself to the development of products with a natural growth model in the past seven years. Although a lot of achievements have been made, such model can no longer meet the needs of the market competition.
According to Wu, all the partners will use their advantages to help "Ourgame" spread the large graphical network games. Meanwhile, "Ourgame" is expected to transfer some operation rights to those partners and share the benefits brought by their cooperation.
He said that the current market sale of the Chinese network game industry is still small, relying on the development of one or several kinds of products. And at present, all the major network games adopt the Role Playing Game (RPG) model with a single-user version. However, the RPG model only occupies less than 15% of the market share of traditional games. Other kinds of games haven"t been applied to internet with a large-scale, such as sports games, contesting games, shooting games and entertainment games. It is believed that the market capacity of the entire network game industry will be more amazing in the near future.
As for the action of the "Ourgame", Tencent hasn't give any direct response. Insiders say that Tencent can do as well as what "Ourgame" can and the finally decisive competition factor will still be the scale of users.
