China appreciates Peru's support on issues of human rights

BEIJING, Jan. 26 (Xinhua) -- A senior official of the Communist Party of China (CPC) said here Friday that China appreciates Peru's support on issues concerning Taiwan, Tibet and human rights.

The development of China-Peru friendly cooperation is in the fundamental interests of both peoples and benefits peace and stability in the region and the world, said Wu Guanzheng, Standing Committee member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee.

Wu made the remarks While meeting with Mauricio Mulder Bedoya, general secretary of Peru's ruling Aprista party, who pays a visit to China from Jan. 22 to 29.

The CPC is ready to deepen exchanges and cooperation with Peru Aprista party to share experiences on governing a country, said Wu.

Mulder said his party will enhance exchanges with the CPC to facilitate mutually beneficial cooperation on energy, trade and economy between the two countries.
