The Internet Society of China (ISC) recently released data which shows that in 2006 the revenue of the network visual game industry in China reached RMB 5.96 billion (769.0 million USD).

According to the data released, it can be estimated that China's online game market will gain a 20.8% annual growth rate and will reach RMB 7.2 billion (929 million USD) in 2007 and RMB 9 billion (1.16 billion USD) by 2008.

Apart from ISC the Internet Data Center has also released optimistic statistics predicting a positive year for China's online gaming world. The internet Data Centre are a premier global provider of market intelligence, advisory services and events for the information technology, telecommunications and consumer technology markets. The IDC has released a financial forcast that predicts that from 2006 to 2011, China's online game industry will grow at a compound rate of 30.2% and that its market value as a whole will reach RMB 24.43 billion (3.15 billion USD) by 2011.
