China Netcom builds lab for next generation broadband service application

The chief engineer of China Netcom Teng Yong has revealed that China Netcom is constructing a project lab to in order begin a next generation broadband service application.

China Netcom's innovative achievements have been recognized within the industry all over the country. In order to promote the establishment of the next generation of broadband service, Netcom has implemented strategies that have adopted an international focus to manage and develop new talent. In addition to this, the company has also enhanced its own internal development processes in terms of producing a stable network system.

With regards to this partnership, Netcom has set up a cooperative research mechanism with several institutions and firms, including the China Academy of Science, Peking University, Beijing University of Post and Telecommunications, Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. and Siemens.

In recent years, China Netcom has set its focus in technological innovation and has made remarkable headway in a series of projects which have been widely acclaimed by the Chinese government.

The company however has not disclosed when the base will be completed or how much the company intends to invest in the base.
