A woman turns her head to catch a look at a heart-shaped plate made with 999 red and pink roses in a street in southwest China's Chongqing Municipality on Wednesday, February 28, 2007. The characters formed by pink roses read "Jing Jing, I love you!"
The rose flower plate was made by Wang, an employee with a local hotel in Chongqing, who hoped to win his girlfriend's heart back. Wang spent 1800 yuan (US$225)on the rose plate and another 100 yuan (US$12.5)to hire a migrant worker to tour the city with the plate on back.
Knowing what Wang did, Jing Jing, his girlfriend, however, refused to forgive him.
Wang said he will continue before the flowers die down. "If I can't be forgiven until then, I will leave the city." he said.
