On March 19th, a partial solar eclipse was visible in the cites of Qingdao, Guangzhou, Shenyang, Xingtai, Yinchuan and Changchun.
According to experts from the National Observatory, this partial solar eclipse lasted one and a half hour, with 7/10 of the sun's diameter obscured by the Moon.
In the next three years, China will witness several solar eclipses. Total solar eclipses will occur on August 1st, 2008 and July 22th, 2009. An annular solar eclipse and a partial solar eclipse will follow on January 15th, 2010.
