A girl, named Yan, aged 24, from Changsha in the Hunan province has received fifteen plastic surgery operations in the last 12 months in different cities in order to win her boyfriend's affections.

Reportedly, Yan has a carefully-designed plan involving a series of plastic surgeries to improve her appearance. She has undergone the surgeries because she is worried about her relationship with her boyfriend.

According to her doctor, Yan was already very beautiful before the surgeries. Early last year, Yan met her current boyfriend, surnamed Cui, in a company ball. Cui is a board chairman of a real estate company. Mr. Cui was attracted by Yan's beauty and elegance in the dance and they two fell in love with each other immediately.

However, Yan feels very unconfident about their relationship, because her ex-boyfriend had already broken up with her for being not beautiful enough. She told the doctor that, "I am always worried that my current boyfriend will leave me for the same reason".

Yan began to receive plastic surgeries in early 2006 and consequently went into several hospitals in Hunan, Beijing and Shanghai. She received 13 plastic surgeries on her nose, eyelids, cheeks, lips, forehead and chin and spent hundreds of thousands of RMB in hospital bills.

"I become more beautiful after the surgeries and I want to use my perfect appearance to let him stay with me forever," Yan stated.

Earlier this year, she went to Guangzhou to receive two more plastic surgeries to improve the shape of her jaw and teeth.

Her boyfriend was moved by her actions and stated that, "Yan frequently received plastic surgeries because she loves me so much. I'm deeply moved by her love. However, I want to say that I will  love her even if she didn’t have the surgery.”

A psychologist from Guangzhou General Hospital of Guangzhou Military Area indicated that those people who can only live with frequent plastic surgeries have psychological problems and should accept psychology treatment to cure the disease.
