 Three State-owned commercial banks - the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, China Construction Bank and Bank of China - were honored as the best bank in China by the renowned financial newspaper, the China Business News (CBN) in Beijing on November 12.

Awarding ceremony of the CBN Financial Brand Ranking 2007 held on November 2 in Beijing. Three State-owned commercial banks - Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, China Construction Bank and Bank of China - were honored as the best bank in China by the renowned financial newspaper, the China Business News (CBN) in Beijing on November 12.

At the awarding ceremony in Beijing, Qin Shuo, chief editor of the CBN, organizer of the CBN Financial Brand Ranking 2007, also announced a list of other domestic banks that had been given Awards for Best Domestic Banks and Awards for Best Foreign Banks.

In addition, the three large-sized Stated-owned commercial lenders, and another seven domestic banks, including China Merchants Bank, Bank of Communications, Shanghai Pudong Development Bank, and China Everbright Bank won the title of best domestic bank.

The organizer also announced results of other awards, such as the "10 Best Securities Companies," "10 Best Fund Management Companies," and "10 Best Insurance Companies".

The CBN said that the selection for the awards began in May this year. Financial institutions have gone through institutional investigations, inter-evaluation among institutions, consumer behavior research, and investigation by experts and organizing committees.
