TOKYO (Reuters) - Japan scrapped a plan to have Chinese navy officers tour a destroyer equipped with high-tech radar, Japanese media reported on Friday, but a U.S. embassy spokesman denied the move was at American authorities' request.
Earlier this year, a scandal erupted when Japanese naval officers leaked classified information about the Aegis radar system used on U.S. and Japanese missile-defense-capable ships.
