China's stocks advanced for a seventh day, led by China United Telecommunications Corp. on speculation revenue will increase after the government approved a plan to build a new-generation broadband network for mobile phones.

``Telecommunication stocks have received a boost from the news,'' said Lu Yizhen, who helps manage $640 million at Citic- Prudential Fund Management Co., in Shanghai. ``With a new network, there is great potential for them to expand business and boost profitability.''
