China Mobile (NYSE: CHL, HKG: 0941), the world's biggest wireless phone carrier, has not wrapped up its talks with Apple for introduction of the iPhone into China, a China Mobile spokesperson said Tuesday. Apple has said its 3-year iPhone deal sealed with China Unicom (NYSE: CHU, SHA: 600050, HKG: 0762) last week would not prevent it from buddying up with other mainland telecommunications operators. China Mobile on Monday launched its self-developed OPhone system based on Linux and compatible with Google's Android to rival Unicom. The OPhone is expected to be priced at ¥1,000.
