China Mobile (NYSE: CHL, HKG: 0941) will invest ¥500 million ($1 = ¥6.8) in eastern China's Zhejiang province over the following five years to build a service center for cellphone reader software powered by TD-SCDMA technology, the world's biggest wireless phone carrier said Wednesday at a forum held in the provincial capital, Hangzhou. ¥50 million will be in place within two years. China Mobile also signed contracts with 10 reader content providers on the spot.
