Comment (A 19 year-old girl died after falling from her dormitory balcony on October 30th on the Zhuhai campus of the Beijing Normal University. University officials claim it was an accident that occurred when the woman lost her footing whilst collecting her dried clothes. Although a witness claims the student tried to catch onto the railing when falling to her death, suicide can't be entirely ruled out. This tragedy comes amidst alarming reports in the past few years of an increasing number of students committing suicide in Chinese universities. Her death caused a huge panic and lots of pain amongst students and some have already asked to move out of the building. To offer some support, 77 teachers from the university have temporarily moved into the dormitory and the university has set-up some form of psychological help.
