Huawei is expected to export 70% of its terminal products to over 130 countries and regions.</P><p>Sales of all of its products are estimated to shoot up 20% to $30 billion this year.             <description><![CDATA[ </P><p>Baidu Inc., which runs China's leading Internet search engine, said Monday that its third-quarter profit jumped 42 percent as revenue from online marketing services climbed.</P><p>American Depositary Shares of Baidu, which also predicted fourth-quarter revenue below analyst estimates, fell $55.27, or 12.8 percent, in after-hours trading, after finishing regular trading down $2.34 at $432.97.</P><p>The company earned 492.9 million yuan ($72.2 million), or 14.14 yuan ($2.07) per share. When excluding one-time items, Baidu's profit totaled 14.75 yuan ($2.16) per share.</P><p>In the year-ago quarter, Baidu earned 347.9 million yuan, or 10 yuan per share.</P><p>Revenue rose 39 percent to yuan 1.28 billion ($187.3 million). The delay was due to a further research on the product's market positioning and competitiveness in the years following the launch, Zang explained. China Mobile has outsourced production of the OPhone to several handset makers. Student users, to whom only the service is offered, can name and call two Telecom numbers, no matter if they are mobile or landline and local (within the city) or non-local, for free. China Telecom is the nation's biggest landline services provider. It is capitalizing on early September, a traditional school resumption period, to attract student customers with other offers, like &yen;0.1 per minute for on-campus calls and &yen;0.2 for off-campus calls. These are the lowest charges applied by the company.             <title>Intel: $1.4B EU Monopoly Fine Based on Mistakes</title>

            <description><![CDATA[ </P><p>Intel Corp. is claiming in court documents that European Union regulators made serious mistakes in levying a record euro1.06 billion ($1.45 billion) fine for monopoly abuse last May.</P><p>In a legal plea published in the European Union's Official Journal, the U.S. computer chip maker is asking an EU court to overturn the antitrust decision or reduce the "manifestly disproportionate" fine.</P><p>It claims that the European Commission did not supply enough proof to back up allegations that Intel used strong-arm sales tactics in the computer chip market to squeeze out Silicon Valley rival, Advanced Micro Devices Inc., or AMD, the No. 2 supplier of microprocessors to PC makers.</P><p>The EU ordered Intel to stop illegal sales tactics such as rebates to computer manufacturers Acer Inc., Dell Inc., Hewlett-Packard Co., Lenovo Group Ltd. and NEC Corp. for buying all or most of their chips from Intel and paying them to stop or delay AMD-based computers.</P>]]></description>

            <description><![CDATA[						<p>BEIJING &#8212; News Web sites in China, complying with secret government orders, are requiring that new users log on under their true identities to post comments, a shift in policy that the country's Internet users and media have opposed in the past.</P><p>Until recently, users could weigh in on news items on many of the affected sites more anonymously, often without registering at all, though the sites were obligated to screen all posts, and the posts could be traced via Internet protocol addresses.</P><p>But early last month, without notification, news portals such as Sina, Netease, Sohu and scores of other sites began asking unregistered users to sign in under their real names and identification numbers, said top editors at two of the major portals affected.             <title>China begins construction of R&amp;#38;D center for large aircraft program</title>

            <description><![CDATA[China began construction of its research and development center for large aircraft on Monday in the eastern business hub of Shanghai.</P><p>The center in the southern section of the Zhangjiang Hi-tech Park covers an area of 80 hectares and its first phase construction will be completed and put into use at the end of 2011,according to Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China Ltd. (COMAC).</P><p>The company did not disclose the investment for the center when asked by Xinhua.</P><p>The center is one of the COMAC's three key entities which are responsible for aircraft design, manufacturing and service.</P><p>COMAC was officially inaugurated in May last year with a registered capital of 19 billion yuan (2.78 billion U.S. dollars). This was to make the country capable of building aircraft with a take-off weight of more than 100 tonnes, or planes with more than 150 seats.</P>]]></description>
